Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who! Box Office Review
After the huge box office success with a version live action How The Grinch Stole Christmas and a critical drubbing with Mike Myers' The Cat In The Hat, Dr. Seuss was finally CGI'd for this big-screen version of his classic Horton Hears A Who!, Nevermind the mixture charming Seussical brand of wit and wisdom with emotions today animation film audiences expect. Blue Sky Studios, the creative team behind the Ice Age franchise took a book loved singing and made using state-of-the - art animation techniques, a roadmap and an intelligent all-star voice cast including Jim Carrey, Steve Carell and Carol Burnett. With little competition for family audiences and pre-sold elements of the film and its filmmakers, Horton must be heard some " o-ge "grosses all through the spring.

The general story has not changed much since the initial publication of the book until 1954 and a cartoon TV special in 1970, but the tone in Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio of the roadmap is longer, taller, a little hipper than previous incarnations (one Reference to Apocalypse Now is offering a monkey character, "I love the smell of bananas in the morning").

Plot Theme revolves around Horton (Carrey), a kind and curious elephant that barely audible hear a cry for help from a small speck of dust that becomes from the city of Who-ville, populated by Who miniature, and specifically the Embattled Mayor (Carell). Establish a relationship of the earshot Who, Horton is belittled by all their neighbors who think that something must be smoking and refuse to believe his imagination has not conjured up this whole story.

Horton remains convinced that he should save a "particle", as he repeats his mantra moralist, "a person'sa person, no matter how small" and that an elephant is "faithful, 100 percent." With life lessons like these, the fun travails From Horton and his Who also manage to offer the target audience kid a meaningful message which fortunately is not in the way of fun.

The best parts of the film involving a villainous and bossy kangaroo (Burnett), which tries to stop Horton in his footsteps, first employed the help of the monkey Wickersham clan, and then delivering their dirty work for it hired gun, Vlad (a hilarious Will Arnett), a large, Russian-accented, butt-ugly eagle, which between spouting off lots of pop-culture-isms is eager to do the work to make Horton in.

Colorful action and suspense sequences ensues as the destination of Who-ville Horton rests on the trunk and their ability to fend off their considerable detractors both inside and outside the village.

Carell is perfectly cast as the beleaguered mayor and its fun to see Burnett get her chops in the deliciously threatening Kangaroo, but Carrey is returning to the land of Seuss he mined so successful as a live-action Grinch whose vocal work really stands out As the sweet but loopy particular pachyderm with a heart as big as his ears.

Top notch direction by Steve Martino (robots) and veteran animator Pixar Jimmy Hayward makes full use of modern CGI wizardry to create a sparkling "toon should have a family crowd lining up.
